Sweden-ing the Deal

A sonnet for a scared little man

Finland and Sweden want to join NATO;
Years of neutrality gone, just like that.
Invade Ukraine and you reap what you sow,
‘Specially when you’re bad at combat.

Paranoia’s setting in and Putin’s scared
Oligarchs are circling like vultures.
The Kremlin does not deserve to be spared,
Impartiality isn’t in the culture.

Keep threatening nukes, see if we care;
The whole world is united against you.
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair;
And Russia’s future is all but gone, too.

The West stands with the spirit of Ukraine
And all you have done is caused your own pain.
