It's Not Easy Being Greene

A sonnet for the representative from Georgia's 14th congressional district

“I do not recall,” said the amnesiac,
The liar, Miss Marjorie Taylor Greene.
She still regrets the botch of the attack,
When poop smeared Congress’ walls, not the latrine.

Her guilt is obvious, we saw it live.
A traitor shouldn’t represent the people.
Destroying democracy, she contrived;
Her electors must consist of sheeple.

She claims she did not call for violence
Even after naming it their “1776 moment”.
Out her mouth, I wish nothing but silence,
And a judge to enforce her atonement.

The people of Georgia deserve better
Than a bigoted traitorous “forgetter”.

Apologies for being away without leave this past week — some technical difficulties with my personal computer kept me from publishing other work. Those issues have (hopefully) been resolved (for the time being) and I will be getting back to my normal release schedule again this week.
